The Hamilton Kerr Institute (HKI) is a sub-department of the Museum and is one of the world's leading centres for teaching and research in paintings conservation and heritage science.
The Learning and Public Programmes department connects the Museum's collections and exhibitions with the widest possible audience, reflecting its vision to inform and be informed by the latest research. This work is created in collaboration with diverse stakeholders, partners, and audiences.
Role Overview
The Learning and Public Programmes Coordinator role provides a comprehensive grounding in museum practice, working collaboratively with colleagues across Learning and Public Programmes, Visitor Experience, Events, AV, Audiences and Brand, and Collections and Research. Both hands-on and highly administrative, this role supports internal and external logistics, manages administrative processes, and ensures the effective delivery of the Museum's Learning and Public Programmes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee internal and external programme logistics and administration.
2. Liaise with colleagues, artists, communities, and project stakeholders.
3. Ensure effective evaluation and sharing of learning and public engagement programmes.
