The role.... As the SeniorWedding & Events Coordinator along with the Events Sales Manager you willbe responsible for growing the events and accommodation business withincorporate, social and wedding markets. You will be responsible for selling thevenue, though personal selling, proactive business development presentation andraising the reputation of the venue.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To ensure all telephone, personal andwritten enquires are dealt with promptly, in a friendly manner and in line with Company Standard.
2. Required to handle a variety of event enquiries ranging from professional meetings to private functions and weddings.
3. Manage the upcoming business on the books and support the coordinator.
4. A warm, personable nature, a can do attitude and an exceptional eye for detail.
5. Be confident, enjoy client relationship building and have clear planning and organisational skills.
6. A passionate, driven and focused on achieving optimum results with a proactive approach to your work.
7. Excellent communication skills both written and spoken are an essential.
8. Balancing multiple activities with demandingtimescales is a challenge in an environment where the activity is oftenreactive and requires immediate attention
9. To attend and hosts Wedding Open Day’s/Eveningsthroughout the year and also to attend Wedding Fayres on behalf of the company.
10. To deputies for the Event Sales Managerin their absence ensuring weekly sales records are recorder and distributed.
11. Take an active role in ensuringwedding enquiries are converted, in understanding package allocations and scopeto ad benefits to secure bookings.
12. To manage the sales office in anefficient and timely manner ensuring function sheets are distributed andgeneral office management.
13. Ensure all events are confirmed with allrelevant final details obtained, deposits processed and relevant documentationsent to client and communicated to the rest of the hotel.
14. To actively convert customer enquiriesinto confirmed sales to develop future and repeat business contributing to theprofitability of the hotel.
15. You will be required to work flexible hoursover 7 days to meet the demands of the business.
16. Previous hotel experience is preferred together with knowledge of Opera & Thynk, although full training will be given to the right candidate.
