CIPFA is expanding our Qualifications Innovation and Development Team and looking for an Associate Professional Qualifications Manager. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual passionate about education and professional development and eager to make an impact by supporting our students in their qualification journey.
You'll play a crucial role in upholding the quality and integrity of the CIPFA Professional Accountancy Qualification and its workbook development and assessments.
In addition, there is the opportunity to work in the development, launch and ongoing delivery of new global qualifications.
An essential requirement for the role holder will be to hold an accountancy qualification from a professional membership body.
Key Responsibilities
1. Implement the management, design, development, and review of the professional accountancy qualification, performance audit qualification, foundational qualification and suite of training service courses ensuring they are relevant, up to date and where appropriate, internationally contextualised.
2. Manage and monitor students on to the Audit Pathway, PAQ qualification to ensure regulatory compliance.
3. Manage the regulatory compliance of approved training employers for the Audit Pathway.
4. Maintain an ongoing programme of research and insight to ensure a good evidence-based understanding of the context for current and future accounting and audit practice.
5. Maintain the competency framework and career companion ensuring it is up to date.
6. Administer and deliver the audit and selection of member CPD records and determine their appropriateness, completeness and professional relevance making recommendations as necessary.
7. Manage relevant regulatory compliance in relation to the professional practice of qualified chartered accountants and key oversight bodies FRC, Ofqual etc.
8. Carry out the mapping and assessment of exemption applications from individual students, HEIs and Professional Bodies.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Professional Accountancy Qualification.
2. Experience of working in a customer-focused environment where customers’ expectations are high.
3. Experience of developing vocational educational activity and programmes.
4. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
5. A good understanding and experience of professional and educational regulation.

Salary: £51,000 - £53,750
