The Role
A Manager with a SAP Controls focus within the team would typically be responsible for driving growth of all SAP service lines as part of the wider ERP & Business Systems team. This includes developing new business from existing clients and prospects, building deep relationships with blue-chip organizations, and establishing themselves as a subject matter expert in assurance and consulting support related to SAP.
Responsibilities
1. Managing sales activities such as responding to RFPs, audit tenders, bid management, proposal writing, and client presentations.
2. Leading and managing SAP security and controls engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting.
3. Evaluating the design and effectiveness of SAP controls across business cycles.
4. Overseeing the output from client engagements, including scoping, financial management, and deliverable reviews.
5. Building and managing relationships with clients at CIO, CFO, and Head of Internal Audit levels.
6. Collaborating with multiple workstreams to design and implement controls for SAP implementation projects.
7. Promoting the ERP & Business Systems capability within KPMG and informing other service groups of its value.
8. Expanding SAP services within specific segments and across sectors.
9. Coaching and developing team members and training colleagues in SAP and related areas.
10. Leading product development and innovation in SAP GRC, data, and analytics technologies to maintain market leadership.
The Person
Experience and Background
1. Experience in SAP Security, including Basis and Role design.
2. Knowledge of SAP business analysis and core financial processes.
3. Experience with core ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
4. Functional experience with SAP GRC, Financials, and BPC.
5. Strong understanding of SAP applications like ECC, S/4HANA, and others.
6. Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and controls optimization.
7. Ability to present on industry topics to large groups.
8. Understanding of system risks and controls, with the ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
9. Excellent client relationship skills and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
