Our continued expansion means that the role will be initially based in Caerphilly, relocating to our state-of-the-art HQ in Newport by end of the year.
About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Events Manager to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the seamless delivery of a comprehensive schedule of high-profile global events and exhibitions. This includes overseeing key event sponsorships and maximising our speaker schedule. You will also develop engaging colleague events, ensuring that the AerFin story is told in a compelling and consistent manner. Responsibilities:
* Oversee the management of our event calendar, including attendance and travel arrangements where required, for key industry events across the globe.
* Plan, organise, and manage all internal and external AerFin events, from concept to evaluation – ranging from conferences and webinars to exhibitions and other corporate events, including event logistics, venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, and on-site/remote coordination.
* Identify and secure speaking engagements and panel opportunities for company executives at industry conferences and events that align with business objectives and promote our thought leadership position.
* Maximise event sponsorship opportunities that deliver optimal brand exposure and ROI.
* Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to generate pre- and post-event content and campaigns, including lead generation activities.
* Measure and analyse the success of events through our CRM system to track metrics such as attendance, ROI, and other relevant KPIs.
* Provide event expertise, problem-solving and hosting during events, which will require some international travel.
* Develop new and innovative ideas for both events and event promotion.
* Work within a budget for events and manage spending accordingly.
Skills & experience:
* Minimum 8 years’ experience in an event management or similar role, preferably in a corporate setting.
* Degree in Event Management or related field preferable but not essential.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple event projects simultaneously.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate actionable insights to inform future events/sponsorships.
* Meticulous with strong organisational and project management abilities.
