If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Quality Assurance Specialist. Reporting to the Operational Quality Manager this role will play a key part of our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of quality and food safety at our Northampton Brewery - from packaging materials and bright beer filling through to the warehouse, supporting all processes, policies and operations relating to the filling, packing and palletisation for all quality streams packaged. Role Responsibilities: Drive improvements to Quality processes within the Production department using key Lean principles. Conduct, organise and take part in audits to ensure adherence to all relevant procedures and policies. Lead cross functional improvement initiatives and implement any agreed corrective action plans. Represent Quality at daily Production meetings, contributing expertise and any action plans needed for upcoming implementation. Establish appropriate hygiene standards, aligned with group GMP standards. Develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures/One Point Lessons and Troubleshooting Guides relevant to the Quality Department. Provide training and coaching to embed Quality knowledge across Production. Align with Procurement regarding the evaluation and monitoring of packaging material performance versus specification. Work closely with packaging material suppliers to ensure compliance to specification. Co-ordinate collation of local and group reporting metrics, including KPI’s. Involvement in all new plant, process or product trials and implementation, carrying out full risk assessment to provide pre-requisite requirements, critical control points, quality control points, training and communication etc. Participate in HACCP reviews for relevant areas. On call for escalation on a rota basis. Experience and Key Attributes: Science / Engineering Degree, Packaging Diploma or equivalent desired Previous experience within a brewing, food manufacturing, drinks industry with a fast-paced packaging line Committed to developing a high-performance team and culture, focusing on continuous improvement IT Literate.
