Job summary
We are looking to recruit energetic, enthusiastic and reliable individuals to work with a team of healthcare assistants visiting patients at home to prepare and set up the patients peritoneal dialysis machine or to set up manual peritoneal dialysis. Patients receive at least one visit per day from one of the team, including at weekends and in the evenings. The working pattern includes regular weekend work and late shifts. Shifts are between 8 am and 10 pm on a rota basis.
This is a busy but rewarding service, and the applicant needs to be a reliable individual.
Full training will be given to the successful candidates.
It is essential that you have a full clean driving license and have access to a reliable car

Key points are:
10. To visit patients in their homes and prepare their automated peritoneal dialysis (APD) machine
11. Visit patients at home, at night, and commence their dialysis treatment when required
12. Visit patients in the morning to disconnect them from their dialysis machine
13. Carry out peritoneal dialysis fluid changes in the patients home when required
14. Monitor patients stock of dialysis equipment, carrying out stock counts when requested
15. Changing patient dressings to their dialysis tube
16. To work in the Home Therapies Unit assisting the qualified nurses
