Working for the Ministry of Justice, you'll have a challenging yet rewarding role as a Probation Services Officer. As part of our team, you'll work with medium and lower risk clients, assessing and managing risks, providing information to courts and collaborating with agencies throughout the justice system.
About the role
We're looking for someone who can provide practical advice on housing and employment, listen to offenders, and support them in turning their lives around. You'll be liaising with criminal courts, agencies, and other partner organizations to prevent crime and meet the needs of victims and people on probation.
About you
You don't need a degree, but we're interested in your personal qualities. Ideally, you'll have experience working with people who have social or personal difficulties, and you'll be empathetic, patient, and resilient. You'll also have high level numeracy and literacy skills, required to read, understand and interpret policies and write reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Salary: £26,475 - £31,650
