White Horse Employment are working closely with a services provider based in Chippenham who have a fantastic local reputation. We are assisting them with their search for a detail oriented Senior Finance Assistant to join the small dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a proven experience across transactional finance in fast-paced environments who is looking for a role with lots of variety and they can make it their own. Key Responsibilities: Set up and manage supplier accounts Upload and maintain supplier invoices in the accounts system Process timely payments to suppliers Post daily cash transactions and assist with bank reconciliations Conduct credit checks on potential clients Set up new client accounts in Xero and verify details with our recruitment software Manage credit control activities, including sending reminders and making collection calls Reconcile third-party vendor accounts and sales ledger, and issue sales invoices Assist in reconciling weekly payroll reports and upload payroll reports to the bank and process expense payments for salaried staff Assist in month-end reconciliations, including accruals and prepayments Skills and Experience Required: Strong understanding of purchase ledger and credit control processes Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) Previous payroll experience is beneficial What they Offer: Company Pension Scheme Ongoing training and professional development Healthcare cashback scheme Increased holiday allowance with length of service Monday to Friday, Chippenham-based role (3 days in the office after training)
