Our advanced manufacturing site in Telford, is one of our main processing facilities, processing up to 1.5 million birds per week. There are over 1,200 talented people employed at our Telford site, helping us to deliver high quality products to our customers and making the business a trusted leader in fresh foods.
We’ve recently invested £2.3 million in technology and equipment, making it one of the most advanced food manufacturing facilities in the UK.
About the Role:

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to meeting driver legislation requirementsacross Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Transport Administrator to join our Logistics Team, based at our Telford site.
The role is officebased and as Equipment Administrator you’ll be working Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00
What will your key responsibilities as Equipment Administrator include?
1. Referring to sales forecast figures to order and de-hire all loose equipment including crates and pallets and dolavs for a number of key accounts for Telford, Dudley and Wednesbury sites.
2. Keep track of and reduce EHCs for some crate suppliers.
3. Monitor and transfer loose equipment between Avara sites by accessing our Warehouse Management systems and referring to CMR documentation.
4. Liaising daily with all sites to ensure sufficient equipment is delivered in a timely manner.
5. Liaising with Transport planners to ensure planned collections are scheduled.
6. Conduct daily equipment counts and provide information to our suppliers via Excel Spreadsheets.
7. Attend loose equipment audits arranged by suppliers.
8. Using Oracle, raise purchase orders for all loose equipment, and other Logistics suppliers.
