Fusion exists so that every student has the opportunity to find hope in Jesus and home in the local church during their time at university. This role sits within the Fusion Coaching Team delivering and developing impactful coaching and training to sharpen student mission. This role requires a deep understanding of ministry, excellent coaching skills and a passion for helping others from a range of church and community backgrounds to grow and thrive. As a Student Mission Coach, you will play a key role in delivering Fusion tools and training to strengthen the church in student ministry and evangelism and provide guidance, training and coaching to those engaged in student mission.

Ministry Partnership Development is a key part of this role, the successful candidate will, therefore, cover 100% of their salary through a team of partners who give financially to Fusion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide coaching and mentoring to student work practitioners to help them develop their skills and overcome challenges.
2. Identify and address the specific needs and challenges faced by students and student workers in sharing the Gospel in diverse university contexts.
3. Foster supportive and encouraging environments where participants can learn from one another and share their experiences.
4. Serve as a role model, sharing personal experiences to inspire and motivate others to engage in student mission.
5. Deliver Fusion’s core training online and in person with churches and students.
6. Prioritise Small Group Training as a vehicle for student mission.
7. Facilitate training workshops, seminars, and courses, both in-person and virtually, to sharpen churches in student mission.
8. Train student workers and youth workers in how to use our resources effectively.
9. Effectively communicate the benefits and value of our products or services to churches and key stakeholders (Church Leaders, Student Workers, and Youth Workers).
10. Contribute to the increased publicity and sale of Fusion resources.
Grow participation
1. Diversify the range of stakeholders engaged with our services.
2. Collect and distribute stories that demonstrate the impact of Fusion’s mission.
3. Increasing stakeholder engagement with Fusion training and resources.
4. Monitor and grow number of repeat customers.
5. Collaborate with Development Team and Communications Team to develop and curate resources, including training manuals, guides, videos, and online content, to support ongoing learning and development in student mission.
6. Trial and evaluate tools used by Coaching Team to identify opportunities for further development.
7. Engage with learning and development in maturing your understanding and skills to help produce resources which serve a diverse range of churches and students.
General
1. Participate in our prayer meetings and any special prayer meetings held from time to time.
2. Lead team prayers and devotionals.
3. Contribute to our collective promotion of Christian standards in our work and working relationships and contribute to a working environment of mutual Christian encouragement.
4. Raise 100% of salary through MPD (Ministry Partnership Development).
5. Communicate regularly with ministry partners including prayer points.
6. Equip your ministry partners to pray, advocate and champion student mission through your partnership with them.
7. Extend ongoing invitations to new people to join your MPD team.
8. Allocate 10% of your time to maintaining partner support.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
1. It is an occupational requirement of this post to have a personal faith in Jesus to effectively support churches and students in their mission to students and to help make Fusion events a place where people can encounter God & find hope in Jesus.
2. Experience leading in student ministry and mission.
3. Experience in teaching, training or coaching.
4. Personal faith in Jesus.
5. Organised with good time management.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Commitment to personal and spiritual development.
8. Evident commitment to and involvement in local church.
9. Excellent interpersonal skills.
10. Skilled in teamwork and committed to continual learning.
11. Uses initiative to get tasks done.
12. Trustworthy and professional when engaging with a range of stakeholders.
13. Ability to travel for work, including overnight trips.
14. Happy to participate in weekly team prayer and occasionally lead it.
15. Experience teaching or training in small group context.
16. A good knowledge of UK church culture and diversity.
17. Knowledge and/or experience of UK student mission landscape.
18. Experience and/or confidence in sales.
19. A valid full driving license.
20. Problem-solving ability.
21. Experience speaking in a church context.
