Hours: 17.5 hours per week

Salary: Grade 7 Points 32-37
Salary: £43,000 - £47,257 per annum pro rata
West Lothian College are looking to appoint an outstanding Commercial and Contracts Manager who will demonstrate the necessary commitment and enthusiasm to drive organisational growth through commercial management, contract oversight, and business development. Working within the Computing, Engineering & the Built Environment faculty and reporting to the faculty director.
Applications are invited for the position of Commercial and Contracts Manager to lead our commercial operations and contract management. You will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial plans, managing end-to-end tender and bid processes, and overseeing the full contract lifecycle. The role involves building and maintaining key client relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and monitoring contract performance and financial outcomes. You will work collaboratively with the Leadership Team and all managers to identify innovative solutions and systems improvements, while also managing and developing the commercial and contracts teams. The role includes Duty Manager responsibilities for the college site as required (This is pro rata).
Applicants must hold an SCQF Level 8 qualification and have significant experience in contract management and/or business development. You should have demonstrable experience of successfully managing contract compliance and business development, along with staff supervisory experience. Essential skills include excellent verbal and written communication, strong contract management and business development acumen, and proven ability in analysis and problem-solving. A management qualification and SCQF Level 9 qualification would be advantageous, as would project management skills and experience in leadership and team development.
