SUMMARY
Travel to customer locations in the UK to perform on-site training, installations, repairs, and maintenance on both hardware and software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
1. Diagnose complex technical problems and perform on-site repairs. 20%
2. Installation of new machinery and future operators’ training. 20%
3. Examine machines, perform planned maintenance and repairs by dismantling machines and rebuilding them. 20%
4. Effectively interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problem products. 20%
5. Document in detail product problems and resolutions. 20%
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
* Three to five years related experience.
* Skilled in electrical measurement and inspection techniques (Voltmeter, Oscilloscope, and other measurement equipment).
* Possess a working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
* Competent skills in reading schematics, using test equipment, and reading software coding to diagnose problems.
* Familiarity with Windows-based computers and their use for programming drives, PLCs, and other control devices, and proven skills with all Microsoft Office applications.
* Proficient with AC and DC control circuits, sensors, switches, relays, timers, and fusing.
* Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
