About the Role
Via is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Volunteer Counsellor to join our team in Gloucestershire. As a Volunteer Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals affected by drug and alcohol problems.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a minimum of 3 clients and a maximum of 6 clients per week with one-to-one counselling sessions.
* Keep accurate records of work and provide regular feedback to the line manager and clinical supervisor.
* Attend ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
* Adhere to Via's policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements
* Trainees must be in their final year of an undergraduate degree or equivalent, or at a postgraduate level, in a relevant field such as counselling or psychotherapy.
* Previous experience in the sector is desirable, but not essential. A passion for the work and a non-judgmental approach are essential.
* Trainees must be willing to commit to a minimum of one year and be available for regular supervision and training.
