An IT apprentice will play a vital role in assisting with technical support tasks, system configurations, and client-facing projects. This role provides hands-on experience with both hardware and software, exposing the apprentice to a broad range of IT systems and support methodologies. The apprentice will contribute to maintaining and improving security protocols, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring optimal system performance for clients In this role, youll work towards your Information Communication Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Assist in configuring and managing Group Policies. Work with online Customer Relationship Management (CRM) core booking systems for day-to-day operations. Provide technical support via ticketing systems, face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and email communication Use manufacturer-provided software tools for diagnostics, task management, and command-line operations. Install and configure hardware components, including RAM, CPUs, hard drives, firmware upgrades, and touch panels. Install and configure client operating systems, printer drivers, and productivity software, including Office Suites and server operating systems Configure both wired and wireless network connections for clients Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team. Salary, Hours & Benefits: £16,000 per annum Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm 20 Days holiday plus bank holidays Company phone and laptop provided Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge: Due to the nature of the role a driver is required Basic understanding of IT hardware and software Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
