What you’ll bedoing:
* Responsible for leading a team of MechanicalEngineers in the Weapons TestSection
Responsible for overseeing Mechanical rip outs forthe Weapon TestSection Reviewing and authoring test documentation inrelation to the Weapons TestSection To review and plan the training and developmechanical engineers in the Weapon TestSection To deputise for the Weapons Managers in theirabsence and act as temporary lead, covering all weapons sectionmeetings Act as signing member of the weapons testgroup Liaise with other test departments and sections toensure safe control of work
Your skills andexperiences:
* Good commissioning knowledge of Submarine WeaponsHandling Systems
* Strong understanding of the Installations and FinalInstallation process for mechanical systems
Experience of reviewing mechanical and weaponstechnical documentation anddrawings HNC in Mechanical Engineering subjects orequivalent experience Previous experience as a TeamLeader/Mentor Knowledge of HP & LP Air and Hydraulic Systems Experience of DSEAR (Dangerous Substance,ATEX-Explosive Regulation) and CHARN/ISO regulations andstandards Stakeholder engagement and interface skills

The Weapon Test Sectionteam: Would you like to work in an exciting and criticalrole within the Submarine build environment? We currently have avacancy for a Commissioning Project Leader at out site inBarrow. As a Commissioning Project Leader, you will beresponsible for maturing the Weapons Systems from equipmentinstallation up to a commissioned system ready to handover to theRoyal Navy across every boat that you will be working on. There issubstantial training available to develop further. You will workacross multiple platforms and programmes. We offer relocation support packagesacross all Submarine roles, subject to meeting eligibilitycriteria.
