Registered Manager - EBD/SEMH Location: Ellesmere Port Contract Type: 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with the potential to extend or become permanent) Salary: Competitive (based on experience) Reports to: Area/Regional Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced and committed Registered Manager to lead a residential home for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and SEMH needs in Ellesmere Port. This is a 3-month contract, with the opportunity to extend or transition to a permanent role based on performance and service requirements. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with Ofsted regulations, while leading a dedicated team of staff to provide therapeutic and child-centered care. Key Responsibilities Ensure the home complies with Ofsted and Children's Homes Regulations Lead and motivate the team to deliver high-quality care for young people Oversee safeguarding, child protection, and behaviour support plans Manage individual care plans and risk assessments Develop strong relationships with young people, families, and external partners Handle staffing, budgets, rotas, and operational compliance Lead on crisis management and ensure continuous improvement within the service Essential Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in a senior role within EBD/SEMH or residential childcare Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's Services (or equivalent) Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures Familiarity with Ofsted regulations and children's home legislation Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain) Full UK driving licence (preferred) What We Offer Competitive salary 3-month contract with the opportunity to extend or transition to a permanent role Ongoing professional development and training Supportive leadership team and collaborative environment Meaningful and rewarding work making a difference to young people's lives
