Skywaves offers 21 self-contained rooms, along with shared communal spaces, designed to provide a safe, supportive environment for those facing some of the most difficult challenges. It is a service tailored to meet the needs of individuals who are actively using substances, coping with dual diagnoses, mental health conditions, or have faced multiple exclusions from other services.
What You Bring to the Role
We are looking for dedicated and empathetic Project Workers to join our accommodation support team. In this role, you will provide one-on-one support, advice, and interventions to help our residents achieve their goals, secure sustainable housing, and build skills for independent living. You’ll contribute to a welcoming, safe environment and manage a varied caseload of residents who may be dealing with complex challenges such as homelessness, trauma, and mental health issues.
– You have a compassionate, person-centred approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting individuals facing housing insecurity.
– Experienced in working with vulnerable populations, including those affected by homelessness, trauma, substance use, or mental health challenges.
– Strong communicator, able to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and external partners to advocate for and support residents’ needs.
– Proficient in creating and managing personalized support plans, and skilled in documentation and record-keeping.
– Knowledgeable in trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches, with a commitment to promoting change and independence.
– Resilient and adaptable, capable of maintaining calm in challenging situations and de-escalating conflicts with empathy.
– Willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to ensure continuous support for residents.

Currently, we are in search of multiple candidates for this position. In this role, employees will be scheduled for shifts covering Monday through Sunday, with the potential to work some Bank Holidays.
