The project:
You will be working as the lead planner on a business-critical capital investment. Mace is an international consultancy and construction company, founded and built on exceptional people, a commitment to service excellence and a deep-rooted entrepreneurial spirit. You will be working as the lead planner on a business-critical capital investment projects.

7. Leading the planning and scheduling function, providing guidance and direction to other planners, and checking quality and consistency of all planning and associated reporting.
8. Reviewing and confirming that all involved parties are aware of their respective accountabilities and responsibilities and provide support and guidance to all the key stakeholders, as appropriate, in line with the production and management of the quality project delivery plans/schedules.
9. Provide professional leadership in respect of the planning processes; identification of key stakeholders; communication; promote awareness of accountabilities and responsibilities.
10. Developing, maintaining, and progressing quality project plans/schedules in line with the functional processes and project requirements.
11. Maintaining key interdependencies between projects and programmes confirming appropriate monitoring and action is undertaken as required in a timely manner.
12. Demonstrating through agreed performance indicators the efficiency and effectiveness of the project plans/schedules developed and utilised.
13. Validating plans/schedules in line with the agreed functional quality management plan for completeness and fitness for purpose.
14. Providing the key point of interface between the planning function and the project teams and interface between the other project support functions such as risk and value, cost management etc.
15. Providing technical expertise and guidance to the project team and provide functional expertise as required.

You’ll need to have:
22. Exposure of working as a Primavera P6 project planner on large scale civil engineering/infrastructure projects ideally for a tier 1 contractor or a client side consultancy.
23. Construction related degree (civil/structural engineering, or construction/project management or equivalent).
24. Digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
25. Experience of working on large projects/programmes.
26. Construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
27. Working in a large portfolio of projects.
28. Mentoring and upskilling of inexperienced planners.
29. Implementation of planning principles within the project management community.
30. Working with large range of stakeholders.
31. Planning of complicated infrastructure projects and summarisation of these into portfolio level schedules.
32. Experienced P6 user (P6 pro).
33. Familiarisation with P6 EPPM (Web) - for config management - see below
34. Management of large data sets into simple reporting formats, through coding and layout manipulation
35. Baseline control and config.
36. Schedule import and export.
You’ll also have:
37. NEC
38. Civils/infrastructure projects.
39. Familiarisation with other planning software - P6, Microsoft Project, Asta power project.
40. Schedule risk analysis (QSRA)
41. P6 configuration management - user access, OBS creation and management, user profiles, OBS assignation.
42. Set up and use of resources - future project not yet required.
43. Use of P6 for EVM - future project not yet required.
