Our client, who specialises in accountancy services for small & medium-sized businesses in the UK, is looking for a professional and hard-working individual to join their team in Rutherglen as an Office Assistant Apprentice.
Responsibilities:
1. Greeting clients coming into the premises in a professional and friendly manner.
2. Responding to phone calls and emails, answering general enquiries, taking messages for staff etc.
3. Handling incoming post.
4. Maintaining and ordering new office supplies and stationery.
5. Using office equipment – printers, scanners etc on a daily basis.
6. Working with and organising paperwork/documents – filing and updating databases.
7. Entering crucial information and data in spreadsheets.
8. Keeping kitchen space tidy and making tea/coffee for clients.
Requirements:
1. Professional and friendly attitude.
2. Hard working and eager to learn.
3. Can work well as part of a team as well as independently.
4. Great time management and communication skills.
Hours: Full-Time – Monday 8.30am – 5pm, Tuesday 9am – 5pm, Wednesday 8.30am – 5pm, Thursday 9am – 5pm, Friday 9am -4pm.
Wage: £6.40-£7.55 per hour.
Your training will start with a 12-18 month Digital Application Support Modern Apprenticeship, which consists of learning on the job, as well as our custom-built E-Learning platform. You will develop all the skills you need to pass your work-based assessments. Our assessors are available to provide one-to-one support and will work with your line manager to ensure you settle into your new role.
You will gain a Diploma in Digital Application Support, which is a Nationally recognised qualification and may be used to gain employment and further your career in administration.
Note: All candidates must be 16-24 due to government apprenticeship funding and must be able to easily commute to Rutherglen every weekday. We welcome applicants from aged 16-29 if you are care experienced or a person with a physical disability, learning difficulty, mental health difficulty, social/communication impairment, or long-standing health issue.
