Amazon Fresh is seeking a Marketing Manager to own our in-store customer experience. You will be the driving force behind the visual and experiential elements that define our UK Amazon Fresh stores. This role is pivotal, with direct influence over what our customers encounter in-store, and offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of grocery retail with us.
Amazon Fresh stores in the UK are a convenience format, offering customers groceries including options for breakfast, lunch, and delicious dinners. We sell hundreds of fresh grocery items, including fresh meat, poultry, and fish, dairy, fruit and veg, and fresh bakery. You will manage evergreen Marketing collateral in all our UK stores, rotational promotional programs, seasonal events, new store launches and refit programs. You will oversee point of sale (POS), digital screens, and in-store radio. You will drive innovation on behalf of customers and be involved in various workstreams to improve customer experiences in grocery retail.
The role sits in the Amazon Fresh Shops Marketing team who own our Local marketing efforts around our stores, landlord relationships and our in-store Marketing presence. The team also owns Rapid Delivery (Deliveroo) marketing efforts. The team sits alongside Trade, Online and Brand marketing within Amazon Fresh. We have ambitious plans for the future and are looking for someone with the expertise to build with us.
The team works closely with Store Design and Development, Store operations, Trade Marketing and commercial teams to bring our Trade Plan to life for customers, whilst maintaining a high-bar on the customer experience. You will work with our third-party partners who provide services like print, audio and digital media.
Our stores are powered by Just Walk Out technology and we are constantly iterating and inventing on behalf of customers. You will need to Think Big to build the future of convenience retail with us, whilst maintaining the day-to-day customer experience in a frugal and scalable way.
The candidate should be able to dive deep, earn trust with internal and external stakeholders, invent for customers and gatekeep to make sure our customers only get the best experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience with in-store marketing including printed and digital signage to activate a trade plan.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop and execute marketing plans for in-store Marketing channels in UK Fresh stores.
2. Manage new store openings and refit program.
3. Manage third party print agency day-to-day.
4. Implement monthly rotating promotional POS (promo bays, signage, digital screens etc).
5. Implement vendor funded media opportunities.
6. Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and develop solutions and implement.
7. Constantly test and learn, iterating on the proposition to improve customer experience.
8. Translate the Trade Plan into customer-facing assets for your channels, working with internal and external design resources.
9. Visit stores and maintain relationships with store leadership to get feedback from the shop floor.
A day in the life
1. Visit stores.
2. Build and maintain relationships with stores and corporate stakeholders.
3. Plan promotional deployment in line with the Trade Plan.
4. Work on new initiatives, fixtures, products and tech features.
5. Review floor plans for refits and new stores and allocate signage as needed.
6. Manage third party agencies to manage activity, deliveries, implementation and new development.
7. Develop signage for experiences, kit, innovations and propositions with program, product and tech teams.
8. Partner with commercial and merchandising teams to manage new ranges.
9. Manage budget, POs and track to ensure frugality.
10. Define in-store marketing requirements based on intake from trade plan and stakeholder teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in professional non-internship marketing.
* Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
* Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables).
* Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns.
* Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in multi-territory campaign management.
* Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process.
