Tin SmithMalvernPay Rate £20 per hourE-ppl we are leading suppliers of Managed Services within the automotive industry. Working with the main OEMs within the UK and overseas. We are a specialist contractor who OEM's call on to support their vehicle projects. This can range from carefully planned and executed launch support projects through to very reactive quality campaigns. All our projects are fully managed offering a turn-key solution to our customers.To perform Tinsmith operations in an automotive manufacturing work area. This will involve cutting, forming, straightening, and repairing sheet metal surfaces of vehicles. It also includes sanding, grinding and linishing the shaped or repaired metal surface and joints of welded or brazed materials to comply with the required finish. The Tinsmith will ensure the highest possible levels of productive efficiency, quality of workmanship and production finish to sustain growth in customer confidence.The role requires hands on operatives for the conversion of vehicles requiring:Metal finishing panels to engineering standardsRectification of incorrect panel fitment painted / unpaintedRemoval of all dents / distortions / high spotsDressing areas after rectification is completeRubbing down vehicle bodywork ensuring car is ready for paint application.Logging all repairs either manually or on a digital data system, detailing the work doneCarry out work within a realistic time, be this time either manufacturers, locally negotiated or a combination of both or by agreed schedules of workTo record all times and attendance hours to facilitate paymentCarry out work within a realistic time, be this time either manufacturers, locally negotiated or a combination of both or by agreed schedules of workTo record all times and attendance hours to facilitate payment
