We have an opportunity for enthusiastic, motivated and caring Staff Nurses to join our team. We are looking to recruit nurses who are flexible, committed to delivering high standards of care, have excellent organisation skills and are team players.
Ward 18 is a busy 26 bedded rehabilitation and recovery unit. The Staff nurse will take responsibility for the delivery of comprehensive skilled and evidence based nursing care to the patients on a shift by shift basis. We are a friendly team who aim to deliver holistic care to our patients by working collaboratively and efficiently.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be able to work under pressure, use own initiative as well as able to work as part of a team.
They will be responsible for assessment of care needs of patients and planning programmes of care, implementation and the evaluation of these programmes without direct supervision.
A great nurse would be able to deliver excellent nursing care, safely discharge patients, an excellent communicator and looking to develop and expand their skills.
They will practice in a holistic, non-judgmental, caring and compassionate manner that avoids assumptions, supports social inclusion and recognises and respects individual choice and acknowledges diversity.
They will work in partnership with other health and social care professionals, students and trainees and agencies, service users, their carers and families.
They will contribute to the practice development within their clinical care setting and work in accordance with Trust Policies, Procedures and Guidelines and will be responsible for completing any work based training associated with the role.
They will act as an effective role model promoting excellence through practice.

Training and Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (adult)
* Literacy & numeracy Level 2 or equivalent (GCSE A - C)
* Professional, clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree/diploma level
* Evidence of on-going professional development
Knowledge and Skills
* Knowledge of current professional issues
* Ability to carry out comprehensive holistic nursing assessment
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Strong leadership skills
* Good organisation skills; able to plan own work but also work effectively within a team

Experience
* Experience of working in the sub-acute environment
