Education Finance Officer Havering Contract £18.33 per hour PAYE or £22.81 per hour limited paid via Umbrella Company inside IR35 Our client is looking for an experienced Education Finance Officer. The successful candidate with have Excel expertise as a default, any experience in LA processes, SEND and schools is a benefit. Any prospective candidates may be subject to an Excel skill test. Remote working is available, however there will be an expectation that they come into the office at least once/twice a week to work alongside others in the team. Also for the first month, it is highly likely that they will be required to come in person to get an understanding of what is required. Ability to demonstrate the confidence and self-assurance to work effectively with head teachers, school governors and other agencies. Essential Ability to use initiative to seek out information for management reporting. Essential Ability to use own initiative and judgement to resolve immediate service delivery problems Essential Ability to work effectively in a team and/or on own initiative Essential Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise own workload so that all projects receive equal support Essential Detailed knowledge of safeguarding statutory guidance and legislation as it impacts on schools." Essential Knowledge and understanding of the role and remit of other professionals working with children and young people with SEND and their families. Essential Knowledge of SEND legislation Desirable Knowledge of the needs of children and young people with SEND and their families and of child development. Desirable Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (in particular Word and Excel) & computerised mapping. Essential Ability to use Microsoft Excel to record and maintain data and perform some manipulation of financial data Advanced Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, and the capability to learn to use bespoke software Essential Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Yes Effective skills in using IT applications relevant to the post (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook). Essential Good negotiation and influencing skills and ability to establish and maintain collaborative and constructive relationships with a wide range of people (parents/carers, schools, social workers and other agencies), achieving positive shared outcomes.
