Shepherd’s Lodge Residential Home are looking for a confident, caring, and compassionate person to join our team as a fixed term Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our team, delivering quality services to support Adults with learning Disabilities, including complex support needs within a centre setting and the community.
Our home, based in Barrow, supports Adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions. We strive to promote emotional and physical well-being; encouraging the development of personal growth, dependent on the needs and wishes of each adult.
No two days are the same at Shepherd’s Lodge and our team works hard to provide effective, individually catered, person centred support. We want our Service Users to achieve their goals and aspirations and live their lives to the full! We are looking for people to join our team who have the same passion as we do to help deliver this!
The Role
As a Supervisor, you will ensure positive leadership and engagement; providing high quality day-to-day services for our people whilst developing the staff team to ensure they are progressed to their full potential. The position will require working in partnership, managing risks, and developing and promoting a person-centred quality service for individual adults.
You will be expected to ensure accurate records, and health and safety compliance. This role aims to improve our people’s well-being whilst promoting involvement in both the local and wider community.
Who we are looking for
The right candidate will be compassionate, proactive, and a strong communicator, who has experience of working in a person-centred role ideally with learning disability. You will have a positive, flexible approach, enabling the team to work to great effect, promoting teamwork and ensuring clarity of purpose within the full staff team.
The ideal individual will be familiar with CQC standards and be willing and able to embed quality in every area of their work, as well as experience of supervising staff who are carrying out support and care roles.
You will receive a full induction and training, and regular support and 121s with management. The nature of the service and the role mean that you will be required to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
We are looking for someone who can use their own initiative, is flexible and is willing to undertake training. We are a close-knit team, and we are looking for a great team player to join us!
