We are looking for the right candidate for the Assistant Finance Business Partner - Maternity Cover role. This role will be for a fixed term of 12 months starting from December 24. The role will involve hybrid working from our registered office in Gateshead for 2 days and working from home 3 days.
The right candidate will have finance experience, possibly studying right now or just finished studying, and has previous experience working as part of a team. They will be hardworking, passionate, have a keen eye for detail, self-motivated, analytical, and eager to learn. Ideally, we would like someone who has a charity sector background or experience working in social housing or the care sector.

Purpose of the Job
Reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner (FBP), the Assistant Finance Business Partner (AFBP) will be responsible for supporting the business to achieve effective financial management. The AFBP will work closely with the business to proactively support the organization by providing relevant financial information and adding value through financial analysis.
This includes:
1. Assisting in preparing the monthly Management Accounts - journals, variance analysis, and reporting.
2. Completing Balance Sheet reconciliations.
3. Assisting in the preparation and collation of the annual budgeting and reforecasting.
4. Income reconciliations.
5. Working closely with budget holders to help them monitor their financial performance.
6. Assisting in the year-end process and dealing with audit queries.
