The Transformation Team is looking for a skilled Senior Advisor to join their team, based in Coventry.
Main Responsibilities
1. Understanding our client’s problems and how MTC can support their resolution.
2. Identification of appropriate digital technologies.
3. Using assessment tools to identify the current state of digital systems maturity.
4. Running workshops to identify digital technology opportunities to support strategic growth.
5. Evaluating opportunities to define work packages with clear value propositions.
6. Planning for information system selection.
7. Developing pilot programmes for digitalisation projects.
8. Leading project work programmes and managing the activities of junior team members.
9. Developing roadmaps that describe how to enhance a client’s capability.
In addition to reporting to the Digital Transformation team leader, there are technical and administrative roles that also need to be performed to ensure effective delivery of MTC’s business.
Person Specification
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience
1. The role holder must be articulate and demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
2. The role holder will perform a key role in identifying opportunities for the application of digital technologies, processes, and methodologies for the solution of industrial problems.
3. The role holder will be expected to demonstrate highly developed problem-solving skills and apply these skills to complex multi-dimensional problems. This role will involve the identification of innovative ways to use digital technologies to solve industrial challenges.
4. The role holder will be involved in guiding MTC customers on the application of digital technologies. The role holder should have a good working knowledge of the following: Different types of manufacturing systems (ideally ERP, MRP, MES, and PLM), their purpose and integration.
5. Independent and driven self-starter and a “completer finisher”.
6. Performing to the highest standards in a customer-facing role.
7. Able to absorb a wide range of developments in technology and see how these can add value to the industrial sector.
8. Communicating technical information in a credible way, with a level of detail that is appropriate to the audience.
9. Supporting governance of the MTC Project Management Process.
10. Excellent decision-making capability and able to manage multiple concurrent tasks and prioritize effectively.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience
1. Good Engineering, Information Systems or Business degree, possibly with a Masters qualification.
2. Experience of leadership and people management.
3. Highly computer literate.
4. Experience in the manufacturing sector is essential either as a manager, manufacturing engineer, information systems consultant, management consultant, systems analyst, or systems architect.
5. Experience of manufacturing system implementation projects is desirable.
6. A full British driving licence and a willingness to travel will be a necessity as a significant amount of time will be spent on customer sites.
