HR Manager, UK & IRE

Tyneside Standards in Jarrow, part of the WIKA Group, is an accredited calibration service company offering swift, top class, tailored calibration services in Temperature, Electrical, Dimensional, Mass, Flow and Torque instrumentation. We are looking for an additional calibration technician to join our highly specialised team.
Your Activities:
1. Manage and lead the day-to-day HR function and ensure the department’s high standards are met in line with our corporate values and legal requirements.
2. Support the integration and harmonisation of recently acquired businesses.
3. Provide professional and accurate generalist HR advice and coach managers.
4. Lead or support in more complex employee relations activities.
5. Oversee Learning & Development activities, developing a high-performance culture.
6. Roll out the annual appraisal process for UK & IRE sites and offer training or guidance to business leaders where required.
7. Work with the Talent Acquisition Specialist on UK recruiting / onboarding activities, including the succession planning lifecycle.
8. Ensure all company HR Information Systems are up to date and utilised to their fullest extent.
9. Be responsible for UK & IRE salary and bonus review processes ensuring timely agreement and notification.
10. Manage the UK & IRE suite of employee benefits to ensure our offering remains competitive out in the market.
11. Work with the HR Business Partner, NEU, with regards to the implementation of any group initiatives across the region.
12. Work with the HR Business Partner, NEU, on any other tasks or assignments that may be required.
Your Profile:
1. CIPD level 5 qualified (or equivalent qualification).
2. Experience managing and developing an HR team (a small team is sufficient).
3. A detailed knowledge of employment law (TUPE would be advantageous).
4. Experience providing senior level HR advice.
5. Experience developing and implementing policies across various HR disciplines.
6. Willing to travel frequently to all our UK locations (Irlam, Manchester / Jarrow, Tyne & Wear / Didcot, Oxfordshire).
