Social Care Specialist
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Integrated Commissioning Team in Children’s Services to support High Needs Commissioning.
We have identified a need for additional specialist capacity to ensure that services commissioned from independent providers are achieving the best outcomes and getting the best value for money, with a particular focus on packages that are jointly funded with Great Yarmouth and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB) or are considered to be high cost.
As Social Care Specialist, you will use your post qualifying experience of childcare social work to play a key part in providing specialist social care knowledge and expertise to inform future commissioning decisions.
You will review individual packages of care and make recommendations on whether provision is meeting the child or young person’s needs and supporting outcomes in the most effective way, factoring in both quality and cost of provision.
You will work with Access to Resources and Commissioning Coordinators to negotiate packages of care where efficiencies are identified.
Our team and work culture is supportive – flexible hybrid working is a key feature of this role. We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our different workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people. Flexibility is built into the way we work. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. As a result, it is important that you have good broadband connectivity if working from home.
This is a part time position which can be worked flexibly.
