An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiology Support Secretary to join our team within University Hospital Coventry.
You will work alongside the existing administrative team to provide comprehensive and efficient secretarial support.
You will need to be a highly motivated and flexible team player with excellent organisational and communication skills. The ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise your own workload is essential. We are looking for a secretary with high standards and an eye for detail. You must have the ability to multi-task and work in a busy, ever changing environment.

The post holder will need to have excellent work typing skills. Previous relevant secretarial experience is desirable.
The post holders will need to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work with colleagues from a variety of professions and backgrounds. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
A key part of the role will be ensuring the delivery of an efficient and high quality service to patients and therefore the post holder will require extensive experience of working in a healthcare, customer care or retail/hospitality setting. Familiarity with Trust systems such as EPR, Soliton, MModel, and Integra is also desirable but not essential for the role.

• To function as the departments point of contact when dealing with day-to-day correspondence. Ensuring all enquiries are effectively managed and successfully resolved within a prompt timescale ensuring all relevant personnel are informed as necessary and an appropriate record is maintained. Liaising and effectively communicating at all levels using written, oral and electronic methods. Using tact and sensitivity to deal with difficult issues as required.

This will require: undertaking any project work as directed, including obtaining information from the Internet, collation and reporting of data in order to produce reports and spreadsheets utilising relevant Trust IT systems, as determined by the role, ensuring all relevant patient data is collected and input accurately in line with Trust guidelines. These systems may include IPM, CRRS, Opera, CRIS, Ultra, Respond, IMPAC etc. Share ideas for potential service improvement.
• To assist with the implementation and maintenance of an efficient office management system/procedures to enable the department to optimise its patient care services.
This will require effective time management; arranging and preparation of correspondence and reports; establishing and maintaining efficient manual and electronic correspondence and documentation management systems; ensuring office equipment and stationery levels are maintained, processing orders as required.
• To support team members.
This will require: Undertaking appropriate staff training and development as required; providing cross-cover on a reciprocal basis in the absence of colleagues and providing day to day supervision where required.
