This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic company, supporting financial operations and ensuring accuracy in day-to-day accounting tasks. The Role As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. Key Responsibilities: Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Maintain general ledger records and ensure accurate financial data entry. Support month-end and year-end financial processes. Reconcile bank statements and process payments. Use Sage Accounting Software for financial transactions and reporting. Prepare financial documents and reports as required. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations. Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English (essential). A Levels or a Level 3 Diploma in Business, Finance, or Accounting (desirable). A relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualification, such as Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Bookkeeping or Accounting or equivalent. Criteria: 1-2 years of experience in an Accounts or Finance-related role. Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes. Experience using Sage Accounting Software. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Skills: Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills (written & verbal). Strong organizational and time management skills.
