The Company
Labquip NDT are distributors of non-destructive testing (NDT) and elemental analysis equipment and products.
Having achieved ISO 9001 certification in 2021, we are on the fast track to success with our operations expanding and adding our exciting new Labino Apollo 2.0 lab, the first in the UK and only the eighth in the world.
We are now looking for a Calibration Technician to join us on a part-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday, 09:30 – 14:30 (or similar).

The Role
As a Calibration Technician, you will set up and manage the Labino Apollo light meter calibration lab, overseeing its development.
Once the lab is operational, you will work towards achieving UKAS 17025 accreditation by implementing Labino’s ISO 17025 calibration procedures, leading the accreditation process, and ensuring all documentation is accurately prepared and submitted.
You will also conduct internal audits and prepare for external UKAS inspections, maintaining calibration records and keeping the lab aligned with industry standards on an ongoing basis.
Additionally, you will:
- Travel to Sweden for training on Labino Apollo calibration and Labino repairs
- Attend full-day manufacturer-led training sessions at Labquip NDT when Labino visits the UK from Sweden for startup training
About You
To be considered as a Calibration Technician, you will need:
- Audit experience
- A technical background
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Flexibility for occasional travel to Sweden and attendance at UK-based training sessions
