About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring learning continues in the absence of their regular teacher. This role is well suited to recent graduates looking to gain hands-on teaching experience before progressing into post-grad education or a teaching career.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering Pre-Planned Lessons – Ensuring students remain engaged and on track with their learning.
* Classroom Management – Maintaining a focused learning environment and managing student behaviour effectively.
* Supporting School Life – Contributing to extracurricular activities and the wider school community.
Requirements:
* Degree-Level Education (Desirable): While not essential, a degree is beneficial for this role.
* Classroom Management Skills: The ability to engage and support students of varying abilities.
* DBS Check: A child-only DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply – assistance available).
* Professional References: Two references from recent employment or placements.
