The Role:
HR Business Partner
Location: HQ (Derby)
Salary: £40,000-£45,000
Contract type: Fixed term contract (Maternity Cover)
Key Responsibilities
1. Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, you will play an essential role in championing and cultivating Motorpoint’s commitment culture.
2. Work in close partnership with Operations Directors to fully understand the business goals and develop People Strategies that support them.
3. Work closely with your People Partner to analyse data, such as engagement surveys, people scorecards and forums to develop people strategies and plans.
4. Manage and support the development of your People Partner.
5. Develop processes and policies that support The Motorpoint Way to drive a high performance culture.
6. Work closely with our employee relations lawyers to provide commercial direction in the resolution of ER cases.
7. Provide HR expertise in the areas of engagement, performance management and workforce planning.
8. Build effective relationships with key stakeholders such as Operations Directors, Heads of Departments and the People Team.
9. Oversee the completion and analysis of engagement surveys, mandatory training and induction programmes.
10. Champion and drive ED&I strategies and initiatives and support the creation of an inclusive workplace.
11. Manage people data and provide insights to the Head of People & Culture & HR Director.
12. Lead initiatives to enhance employee commitment, satisfaction and wellbeing.
13. Lead consultation processes for internal and external projects, such as TUPE and structural changes.
14. Champion our employee voice, ensuring that it is heard and valued.
What you will need to succeed:
1. At least 3 year’s previous experience as a HR Business Partner, ideally in FMCG, manufacturing or automotive retail.
2. Preferably a CIPD qualification at level 7 or above, however this is not essential.
3. Strategic and dynamic in your approach.
4. A strong track record of improving employee experience and engagement.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
7. Resourceful and capable of finding solutions to challenges independently.
8. Calm and effective when handling urgent matters.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook & Powerpoint.
10. Confident in navigating HR software.
11. Team player, supportive and always willing to assist.
