Sonographer (Band 7)
* Location: Sutton-In-Ashfield
* Job Type: Full-time/Part-time hours available
* Salary: £44 per hour Band 7 (NHS Pay Scale)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Sonographer to join our busy and friendly team. This role is ideal for a well-motivated individual who holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent and is HCPC registered.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
* Perform general medical, obstetrics, and gynaecology ultrasound including early pregnancy assessments.
* Conduct specialist scans including MSK, neonatal hips and heads, head and neck, and contrast-enhanced ultrasound.
* Report on all personal work and participate in the training of student sonographers.
* Travel between Mansfield Community and Newark Hospitals as required.
* Actively engage in the creation and development of a Community Diagnostic Centre at the Mansfield Community Hospital site.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Essential:
o DCR or BSc (Hons) in Radiography.
o DMU or Postgraduate qualification in ultrasound at M level.
o Evidence of further study.
o HCPC registered.
o Ability to report on own scans.
o Supervisory experience.
o Previous NHS experience.
* Desirable:
o Specialist expertise in ultrasound, supported by practical experience.
o Teaching skills.
o Counselling course completion.
