⇄ Secondment opportunity to West Midlands Police for Regional/National Officers
At the National CBRN Centre based in Coventry, we bring together the emergency services to protect and prepare the UK against the chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threat. It’s a critical function and we’re looking for a suitably experienced and qualified serving police officer as a Training Officer to deliver the Centre’s CBRN training programme to Home Office forces, other organisations and Partner Agencies.
Open to Constables, this role is offered as a 2 year secondment opportunity.
Responsibilities
1. Working as part of a team to maintain and develop the multi-agency capability to respond to CBRN terrorism and contribute to the overall vision & mission of the N CBRN C.
2. Developing, designing, delivering, evaluating and quality assuring training materials to encourage individual learning.
3. Ensuring quality in training and development programmes through delivery of cost effective training in support of the CBRN strategy.
4. Decision making within the classroom environment.
5. Maintaining and developing a high level of subject knowledge, both in training and operationally.
6. Building and developing relationships with external agencies and suppliers.
7. To be part of the on-call (24/7) Operations Centre Cadre.
