Jo Jo's Day Care Nursery Limited are currently recruiting for an experienced Nursery Practitioner to work in a busy Early Years setting in Herne Bay, Kent.
Our nursery is currently rated as 'Good' by Ofsted with the aim of becoming 'Outstanding' in our next inspection! We are looking for a team player to work alongside our qualified and experienced staff in the Pre-School Room.
The successful applicant will be passionate about working in childcare and will have experience in a busy nursery or early years environment with a good understanding of best practices.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, all year round. This is NOT a Term Time Only position.

Skills and experience:
1. Minimum CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
2. A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a day care setting as a practitioner, preferably in a Pre-School Room
3. Previous experience of working with babies
4. Previous experience of caring for children aged 0-5
5. An understanding of how children learn and the early learning goals
6. A passion to provide high quality childcare
7. A positive approach to your own professional development
8. Good written and verbal skills for report writing, maintaining records, and sharing information with parents and colleagues
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
1. Planning and delivering activities
2. Being a key worker and completing profiles
3. Sharing information about children's development with parents or carers
4. Taking children on outings and completing risk assessments
5. Personal care routines
6. Observing children and writing reports
7. Ensuring children are happy, safe, and well
