Job Role: Mobile Plant Fitter \n\nLocation: Exeter, Devon (accepting applications from surrounding counties)\n\nSalary: £33,(Apply online only)-£37,(Apply online only) (£16-£18 per hour) DOE + Overtime @ 1.5x\n Hours: Monday-Friday day shift – 40 hours per week\n Job Type: Full time, Permanent\n \n The client:\n Interaction Technical have partnered with a leading plant machinery manufacturer based in Avon on their search to add skilled and experienced Plant Fitters to their rapidly expanding service team. Our client has been established for over 40 years and is a market leading manufacturer within the plant industry, offering a fantastic training scheme with plenty of internal opportunities to progress within the business.\n\nThe package:\n\n31 days holiday including bank holidays\nCompany van, Fuel Card, mobile phone etc\nOvertime available at enhanced rates\nIn-depth company training scheme\nCompany tool allowance\nCompany pension scheme\nLife assurance – 3x basic salary\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) – Health & Medical support offered\nFlexible Additional Holiday – salary sacrifice\nA fantastic Earning Potential with scope to progress within the business\nThe Duties:\n\nTravel to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.\nDiagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.\nCollaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations.\nConduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.\nOffer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.\nKeep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.\nCommunicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.\nThe Requirements:\n\nPrevious experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)\nPrevious experience working as a mechanical/electrical engineer within the plant and/or automotive industries (essential)\nRelevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering – minimum level 2 (essential)\nElectrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous)\nExperience working with engines and batteries (advantageous)\nFull UK Drivers License\nInteraction Recruitment have specialist consultants across the majority of industries within the UK, including but not limited to, Finance & IT, Technical & Engineering, Industrial, Commercial and Hospitality.
