Deputy Manager – Young People’s Supported Accommodation
Darlington – Service due to open October 2024
A driver's license and access to a vehicle is required for this role.
HOURS: 40 hours per week, to be worked flexibly per the needs of the service.
SALARY: £35,000 Per Annum
Flexibility is required as you are expected to cover any shifts where there is a staff shortage, and all other avenues have been exhausted.
The Role
ROC Solid is a registered supported accommodation charity; we thrive in the delivery of the best outcomes for the people we support. With a dedicated, passionate and skilled team, we offer an agreed person-centred level of support and key worker sessions for 16 – 17-year-olds.
As a Deputy Manager you will improve the lives of people using our services by providing direct support services to individuals or groups of individuals, this includes being a point of contact with referring agents and partnership agencies to ensure effective liaison arrangements with respect to individual support are continued and enhanced.
You will also ensure that residents’ tenancies/licences are adhered to and that the housing provided is of optimum quality.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure and exceed compliance requirements of the Ofsted Supported Accommodation Regulations and its Outcomes.
* Assist in the business development of ROC Solid.
* Adhere to, uphold and exemplify the organisation's core values.
* Monitor the work of the Specialist Support Workers and provide feedback to the Registered Manager, HR Manager and CEO as necessary.
* Provide supervision sessions for the Support Workers on a regular basis.
* Check/organise staff timesheets/content.
* Undertake annual appraisals and identify training needs.
* Produce the staff rota on a weekly basis.
* Ensure staff are familiar with and adhere to all relevant statutory policy and procedural guidelines and Ofsted regulations for Supported Living Accommodation.
* Liaise with all relevant agencies and attend meetings as required.
* Maintain all administrative records and complete monitoring returns accurately and on time.
* Ensure a high-quality housing and support service is provided, helping residents develop skills for independent living.
Essential Requirements:
* A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (Children) or equivalent (or willingness to work towards), undertaking Level 4 if successful.
* A driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Previous experience of working with children and/or young people aged 16-18; youth offending; care leavers; substance/alcohol misuse.
* Commitment to the role and flexibility to cover uncovered shifts including evenings, weekends, and some nights as part of on-call duties.
