Job Title: Data & Insights Analyst Location : Nottingham Contract : Perm Recruiter: Noaman Hussain About the role Welcome to the all-new Boots Opticians Data, MI and Insights Team – Opticians are expanding and becoming an ever more data driven business, with that we have formed a new wider team covering data, insight and programmes –the purpose of delivering Insights as a service, supporting every business function in their decision making. This role is pivotal to understanding business performance and customer behaviour to enable the business to grow & deliver future projects & plans, reporting into the MI & Insights manager but able to problem-solved and work with autonomy, and across many business functions including retail, trading, finance, marketing and operations. Support in defining our overall data strategy, as we move into advanced analytics, re-platforming our data into the cloud. Creating dashboards & data driven models that provide unique insight about customer demand, capacity, commercial & performance, highlighting risks and opportunities and providing high quality resourcing plans Analyse our returning customer base, acquisition, store capacity, commercial proposition through key tools, including Power BI, Python & SQL. What you’ll need to have These are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role. A passion for data & insight, and the ability to communicate this to senior stakeholders Analytical & problem-solving mindset – driven to identify issues and opportunities Experience of key data tools, primarily SQL to extract and transform raw data, and Power-BI to visualise and model large data sets Curiosity, problem solver, eager to continuously develop skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ambiguity Experience in extracting, manipulating and modelling varied datasets It would be great if you also have These are desirable skills or experience and are not essential, so we would welcome applications from candidates that don’t match this additional criteria.
