Location: Manchester
Salary: £80,000-£90,000 + Hybrid working model + Excellent benefits package + Pension + Holiday

In this role, the General Manager is responsible for driving operational and performance growth across multiple sites in the UK. On a day-to-day basis, you will manage the financial performance of the company, including overseeing P&L responsibilities and capital investments. You are actively involved in executing business strategies by analyzing weekly and monthly KPIs to ensure the company meets its targets.
The General Manager also interfaces with clients to understand local market needs and training requirements while leading initiatives for sales and profit growth. You will focus on reducing costs through strategic supplier negotiations and improving operational efficiency, including reducing non-value-added activities through process mapping and continuous improvement.
The Role:
1. Direct P&L responsibilities for the company's financial performance and capital investments
2. Hands-on execution
3. Using weekly/monthly KPIs to ensure that the business is performing in line with business expectations
4. Commercially astute to interface with clients and understand the local market and training requirements
5. Proven track record of delivering sales and profit growth
6. Lead purchase price reductions for local 3rd party suppliers
7. Operational experience to understand and deliver cost of sales savings, through efficiency, trainer utilization, and cost control
The Person:
1. Must have experience running an operation from a training provider
2. Full P&L experience
3. Sales/commercial awareness
4. Candidate will have ideally worked within the utilities or construction training environment
