Insight Global is looking for a Principal WordPress Engineer for one of our leading media clients in the UK. You will be a part of Content Platforms team and working with 9 other engineers working across three time zones, solving crucial problems and building editorial tools for one of the most visited news websites in the country. As a Principal WordPress Engineer, you will be the SME and responsible for leading the development as, as well as providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level team members. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing and maintaining scalable and high-performance software solutions.
Must Haves:
* WordPress enterprise level experience for a minimum of 5 years
* Experience in modern WordPress development including creating Gutenberg blocks.
* Proficiency in using PHP and React
* Strong understanding of software architecture, data structures, and algorithms
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with
cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
* A passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning and professional
development.
