Role Purpose: As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our company's success by providing technical expertise and support across various areas of our operations. This includes, utility systems, equipment calibration and specialist pharmaceutical equipment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with a broad range of technical skills, including mechanical, electrical, and possibly other specialized disciplines. Training will be provided where required. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our equipment and systems, while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Key Accountabilities and Duties: Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues and breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime and production disruptions. Electrical Expertise: Handle electrical components, systems, and controls effectively and safely Mechanical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other relevant technologies to maintain and repair equipment. Calibration and Testing: Conduct calibration and testing of equipment to maintain accuracy and precision in their operation. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency and actively participate in improvement projects. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and other relevant data to GMP standards. Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to other team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and contribute to problem-solving efforts. Qualifications/Skills: Apprenticeship and associated background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred. Experience: Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer or a similar role with hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment. Technical Skills: Strong expertise in electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly. Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively. Safety Conscious: Deep understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to adhering to safety standards at all times. Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and provide technical guidance. Adaptability: Willingness to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Time Management: Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently. Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical, mechanical, or other specialized fields are a plus.
