We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Support Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering housing management and tenancy sustainment services to our clients, which may include individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and physical impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide practical support and advice to residents to help them secure and maintain permanent accommodation.
Assist clients with housing applications, welfare benefits, and navigating tenancy agreements.
Conduct assessments of client needs and develop tailored support plans.
Manage tenancy agreements, including rent payments, arrears, and compliance with tenancy conditions.
Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for residents.
Address issues such as anti-social behavior and disputes, facilitating resolutions when necessary.
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met.
Essential Qualifications:
Experience in housing support or social care is advantageous.
Strong understanding of housing legislation and tenant rights.
Skills Required:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in IT systems for record keeping and reporting.
