Job summary
We are keen to attract Clinical Support Workers who are looking for new challenges and opportunities. This post will support the G.P service in the Urgent Treatment Centre based in Emergency Care, which is extremely busy; you'll be exposed to caring for different groups of patients and may be required to assist the Accident and Emergency Department.
We are looking for experienced Clinical Support Workers; hospital experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths, Care Certificate, and/or NVQ2 in health and social care or the equivalent role is required. Your role will include providing delegated clinical procedures such as insertion/removal of cannula, venepuncture, wound assessment and simple dressings, and removal of urinary catheters. Training will be provided.
You must be able to work as part of a team, use your own initiative, and possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, contributing fully as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. We will provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship, and clinical supervision on the unit and are committed to the professional development of all staff. Teamwork is an integral part of this unit, with all staff enabled and empowered to make a real difference for their patients.

Person Specification
Essential
1. GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths
2. Care Certificate
3. Relevant experience of working in Health or Social Care Environment delivering personal care
4. Digital Skills, use of systems and ability to use physiological recording equipment and record findings
Desirable
1. Evidence of mandatory and statutory essential training skills, for example, Basic Life Support, manual handling, infection control, fire, etc.
2. Relevant experience working in the NHS
3. Training and competence in clinical tasks relevant to the role, e.g., Cannulation, wound care, ECG
