The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of a friendly and customer-focussed Security team, playing a crucial Supervisory role in the safety and security of Bolton Council’s elected members, employees and the public. We are extending our teams, if you have a passion for leading, ensuring high standards, this role is for you, as part of a team of two supervisors and three officers per shift you will work with the Security Team leader to assist with arranging rotas, leave and sickness cover. Assist with the training of new officers and assist with the upskilling of current officers, utilising new systems and procedures. Whilst on shift you will assist with the Supervision of One Stop Shop and Homeless Welfare security officers. This role requires work outside of normal office hours covering evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the service, for which you will receive a generous shift allowance.
You will work 42.25 hours rolling over 18 weeks. 4 x 12-hour day shifts (7am-7pm), 4 x days off, 4 x 12 hour night sifts (7pm-7am).

About You
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be passionate about providing a helpful and customer-focussed service. You will enjoy working as part of a team and be able to mentor other staff members, providing them with the correct training to enable them to keep accurate records for the purposes of incident, carry out lock/unlocks of various buildings and establishments, respond to alarm activations in and out of hours.
Previous experience in a Supervisory and security role, an SIA licence and possession of a full and valid driving licence are essential for this role.
Due to the nature of the role, all applicants must be physically fit enough to carry out aspects of the job such as driving and standing for lengthy periods.
