You will always adhere to the NMC code of professional conduct and ensure compliance of hospital policies and procedure. To ensure that an individual programs of care is planned, implemented and evaluate for each patient within own sphere of responsibility. the post holder will work as part of the multi disciplinary team always ensuring the delivery of a high standard of care to the patients and act as positive role model
To act as a team leader including taking charge of the theater/ward in the absence of deputy manager. to participate in all relevant aspect of the governance process

• To provide and maintain the highest possible standards of patient care
• To develop and maintain good theater/ward management and organisational skills
• To provide effective support for the ward sister/charge nurse, ensuring self- development in the day to day management of theater and ward
• Under the supervision of the ward/theater department manager to work on delegated projects relating to local policy and service development
• Make a thorough assessment of the patients need and document in accordance with the nursing policies
• Formulate a plan care based on the identified needs of the patient, taking into account current evidenced based research finding
• Ensure that all the care planned is delivered to the patient at the highest possible standard
• Evaluate nursing action alter the care plan in accordance with the changing needs of the patient
