We are looking for an inspirational Associate Dean for Research and Knowledge Exchange to lead this exciting transformation. The School of Business has great potential. We returned to two Units of Assessment (17 and 24) in REF2021, and both saw improvements. We have strong links with regional and national businesses, and 100% of our Impact was graded 3-4 (UoA17). Our Centre for SME and Enterprise Development and Institute for Research into Work, Organisations and Employment (iROWE) undertake RKE that influences business improvement and policy, informs teaching, and promotes positive change in the communities we serve. The school also has a new RKE Institute, who will work alongside the Associate Dean RKE. The Associate Dean (Research & Knowledge Exchange) in the Business School will lead a growing team of research-focused academics to support the University strategy. Reporting to the Dean, you will join a supportive Executive Team and oversee the school's professoriate. You will collaborate with the PVC Research and Innovation, other Associate Deans (RKE), and Research and Enterprise Services to manage the University RKE strategy. You will also be supported to continue your own RKE activities and pursue personal research goals. About us We are a large, international, multi-campus university established in 1828. About you The new Associate Dean will possess a: Proven strategic and visionary research leadership with successful implementation of research and knowledge exchange strategies, including REF, KEF, and KEC planning. experience of developing a successful and supportive academic research culture and excellent people leadership skills. Experience in delivering projects that support successful research and knowledge exchange outcomes, building partnerships, and interacting within higher education, industry, commerce, research, and professional bodies.
