Servol Community Services have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Service Manager - Mental Health for our new service in the London Borough of Sutton.
Salary: £36,500, plus a wide range of benefits, learning and development and a culture that welcomes all. Benefits include 28 days of Annual Leave, flexible working, pension scheme, staff discounts, employee assistance programme, and career development.
Contracted hours per week: Working hours are 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday, which includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You will be required to be part of a management on-call rota out-of-hours.
About the Service Manager role:
Servol recognises the importance of lived experience when working with service users with complex needs and welcome applications from individuals who have first-hand experience of mental ill health.
This role is not remote working, and we need someone who can be on the ground to support the services and the team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading their team to provide the highest standards of care, compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and the overall performance of services within their area. Our current services are not CQC registered.
Skills/experience/personal qualities required for our Service Manager vacancy:
1. Level 4 in Health and Social Care
2. Qualification in Line Management or demonstrable experience
3. Proven and demonstrable experience of leading and developing the skills, knowledge and experience of a team within a care environment
4. Experience of working to KPIs and undertaking detailed/accurate reporting
5. Experience of budget and financial planning/management
6. Good verbal and written skills and ability to convey information clearly
7. Ability to demonstrate practical experience of IT systems and email
8. A working understanding of legislation and procedures for the protection of vulnerable adults
9. An understanding of Health and Safety and risk management issues & application in social care
10. An understanding of equality and diversity and the ability to promote equality in all aspects of work
