About the Role:
The Headteacher and governing body of a well-regarded primary school in Blackburn are seeking an experienced and proactive primary teacher to take on PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) responsibilities for five classes within the school, as well as an intervention role. The successful candidate will work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, supporting students in Years 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Additionally, during the remaining half-day, they will teach a small group of Year 5 pupils, focusing on addressing gaps in their maths learning.

The Headteacher is highly respected and recognised within the local community, and the school enjoys a stable staff team with very low turnover. This vacancy has arisen due to the relocation of the permanent postholder, making it a potential temporary-to-permanent position. The school maintains a GOOD standard of behaviour, but the successful candidate will need to have excellent behaviour management skills and follow the comprehensive whole-school behaviour policy.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
